The Equip 119442 DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable (AOC) is a high-performance cable for transmitting digital video signals over long distances. Unlike copper cables where the transmission of signals is limited without signal degradation, DisplayPort 1.4 AOC can transmit data over a distance of up to 100 meters without the need for additional signal amplifiers or repeaters. The cable supports DisplayPort 1.4 standard, which provides high bandwidth and supports resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz. DisplayPort 1.4 AOC also supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Display Stream Compression (DSC), allowing for even higher resolutions and refresh rates. The active component of the cable is a microchip embedded in the connector that converts the electrical signals into optical signals which are then transmitted over the optical fiber. The cable is also immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), making it ideal for use in environments with high electromagnetic interference.
